Joe Carson is the Senior Director of Professional Services at Attivo Networks.

Joe leverages 35+ years of Information Technology experience as a thought leader in the field of information assurance and network security. While serving in the Marines, Joe played a key role during the buildout of the Marine Corps IP based networks and was one of the founders of the Marine Corps Network Operations Center. He also served as the technical lead for information assurance with the US Special Operations Command post 9/11. He joined industry in 2005 after a long career with the US Department of Defense. Since then he has held strategic roles with both small and large organizations with the last 6 years focusing on the commercial deception space. Joe calls upon his extensive experience in deception disciplines acquired during his government tenure to drive deception strategy and operationalization of advanced deception techniques for Attivo’s customers.

Joe has bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science and Information Systems Management, and a master’s degree in Information Assurance.
