Sebastian Prooth is corporate security and crisis management leader for an international manufacturing company.

After spending eight years in Southern California in printing, graphics and television production, Sebastian began his security career by managing operations at a small Silicon Valley based security company. Sebastian went on to manage national accounts at Allied Universal where he became known for his sharp management style and skillful handing of client relationships. Sebastian also worked in the security disciplines of loss prevention, executive protection, armed patrol in high crime neighborhoods. Most recently Sebastian has managed intellectual property and customized security programs for Fortune 50 companies.

In 2017, Sebastian earned a Personal Security Detail (PSD/WPS) Certification from Trojan Securities International and in early 2019 was part of the new roll out for the new ASIS Int. Associated Protection Professional (APP) certification. Sebastian also holds UK based qualifications in Information Technology and Media Production.

Sebastian is an active member of ASIS International (San Francisco Chapter) and in 2018 was asked to chair the new Job Placement committee for the chapter. He also participated in the Young Professionals panel interviews in 2019. Most recently, he has served in an advisory capacity for the chapter’s Security Operations Group.

Sebastian holds a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification and is the Brand Protection and Security Manager, Bay Area for the global manufacturing firm Flex.

He resides in the Bay Area with his wife Cathy and their miniature schnauzer, Alfie. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, studying world history and mountain biking.
