Tim Schaaff brings more than 35 years of software product development, business management and technology leadership experience. For the past 8 years, he has served on the Board of Directors at Sony Corporation and is responsible for oversight of Sony’s information security activities. Schaaff is also Chief Product Officer at Intertrust Technologies where he is responsible for all technology and product development at the company. He leads Intertrust’s efforts in the areas of trusted big data products, distributed secure systems and secure content distribution.

Prior to joining Intertrust in 2015, Schaaff held a series of senior executive positions at Sony from 2005 to 2013. He was President of Sony Network Entertainment International responsible for the PlayStation Network business. From 1991 to 2005, Tim held various development and management roles at Apple. He was Vice President of Apple’s Interactive Media Group during Apple’s dramatic transformation under Steve Jobs. Before Apple, Schaaff was a software engineer at New England Digital, the inventors of the Synclavier digital music synthesizer. He graduated from Dartmouth College.
