Victor Fernandez is the General Manager of Colusa Casino Resort, which is located an hour north of Sacramento in northern California. Mr. Fernandez has over 24 years of considerable operations and accounting experience, including over 22 years of gaming experience and over 18 years in Tribal gaming. He began his career in the gaming industry in 1997 when he joined the finance team at the Aladdin Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. A year later he was hired at the River Palms Resort Casino in Laughlin, NV where he was quickly promoted to Controller. In 2001, Fernandez joined Valley View Casino where he became an integral part of the team that opened up the highly touted resort in Valley Center, California. As Controller he directed all operational finance departments and initiatives in establishing a sound fiscal foundation upon which the property would grow.

In 2003, Fernandez joined Colusa Casino Resort as the CFO, and in addition to overseeing the daily operation of all financial departments and budgets he was instrumental in securing a financing package of over $50 million for casino renovation and expansion. In 2007, Fernandez took the opportunity to join Casino Del Sol & Casino of the Sun in Tucson, Arizona as their Vice President of Finance & CFO, where he increased profitability by 18%, refinanced the current debt and secured financing for a $200 million future expansion project. In 2008, Fernandez returned to Colusa Casino Resort as CFO and took over as General Manager in 2009.

Victor is a graduate of Aconcagua University in San Luis, Argentina with a degree in Public Accounting. He has enrolled in continuous education and business training courses through the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, and is fluent in English, Spanish and some Italian.
