Ms. Dunaway is a licensed civil engineer in California. She currently serves as Safety Director for Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command in San Diego. She has bachelor and masters’ degrees in civil engineering from Cal Poly Pomona and San Diego State University respectively.
Ms. Dunaway has worked in water and wastewater design, construction and utilities system planning and design, as well as contract management and oversight. Over the last 7 years she has worked to restructure and improve the safety program, decreasing the injury rate by half and improving safety culture.
Ms. Dunaway is a Professional Safety and Health Officer from University of California San Diego, OSHA Training institute.
