ASIC design, verification, architecture. Many years of mentoring new engineers, as well as others in Cisco through the Career Champions program. In depth knowledge of digital communication protocols, and the technical leader responsible for oversight and requirements of many aspects of the ASIC architecture.

Todd Lawson graduated from CSU, Chico in 1994 with a BS in Computer Engineering. Since then, he has held multiple positions in the networking industry in hardware and ASIC design, most recently as a Principal Engineer at Cisco Systems in the Common Hardware Group working on Cloudscale ASICs.

His area of expertise focuses on chip to chip communications: Ethernet, Fibre Channel, PCIe, 2.5D chip to chip interfaces over silicon interposers, etc. He is a member of the IEEE and participant in the 802.3 standards committee, and has had 15 issued US patents and 14 international patents.

Todd has mentored many engineers and professionals on the team, as well as through the Career Champions program.
