Susan Whitehead serves as the VP of Strategic Planning & Portfolio Management leading the PMO at PACT Pharma. Prior to joining PACT in 2018, she served as the Global Head of Operations at Caligor Rx, where she led their strategic initiatives progressing rapidly to become the Business Unit Head for their Global Access Programs business unit with full P&L responsibility.

Before joining Caligor, Ms. Whitehead worked at Sunesis Pharmaceuticals to oversee the on-time completion of their MAA Quality Modules, turned around operations for an underperforming Global Compassionate Use Program, and played a key role for a successful on-site EU pre-approval inspection (PAI). Prior to Sunesis, she led the PMO’s at BiPar Sciences, a Sanofi Aventis Company and Bavarian Nordic.

Ms. Whitehead also spent five years working for Johnson & Johnson serving as the Project Management Lead at ALZA Pharmaceuticals overseeing the on time submission of an NDA & MAA for IONSYS® and at Conor MedSystems as Project Lead for a drug eluting stent during formulation feasibility through first in human studies. Ms. Whitehead is currently a board advisor for the Women’s Leadership Executive Program at California State University, Chico.

Susan has her BS in Chemistry from Michigan State University, has earned professional certifications in Genetics & Genomics from Stanford University, Organizational Leadership from Northwestern University and is a 2 x Ironman Finisher.
