Teresa Chapman, MDR, PHR, is the Vice President of Human Resources at Santa Clara Family Health Plan (SCFHP). Ms. Chapman joined SCFHP in March 2020, bringing with her over 20 years of experience as a transformational leader specializing in HR technology, health care, finance, and operations. Ms. Chapman is an expert strategist with the ability to reshape organizations through process, training, engagement, and enthusiasm. She is mission-driven and values-focused.

Before joining SCFHP, she served as an HR leader at Kaiser Permanente and HR Director at SJB Child Development Centers, a nonprofit committed to the support and success of diverse communities. Ms. Chapman is a highly credentialed professional with a Master of Dispute Resolution with an emphasis in employment law from Pepperdine University School of Law. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics from the University of San Francisco. She is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) who earned a certificate in Sustainable Business Strategy from Harvard Business School, a Gallup Strengths coach, and fluent in Spanish.

Ms. Chapman embodies emotional intelligence, empathy, and the tenets of a growth mindset in all her endeavors. She is a life-long learner with a relentless pursuit of knowledge, inclusion, and understanding. She volunteers her time providing conflict resolution, coaching, and mentorship in her local community. Ms. Chapman is also on the Advisory Council for the Women in Leadership at Cal State University, Chico, and a founding member of Chief, a private network with a mission to drive more women into positions of power and keep them there.
