Jock Breitwieser
With 20+ years of international communications expertise in agencies and in-house, Jock Breitwieser is an expert in Marketing Communications, Corporate Communications/PR, Analyst Relations, Social Media/Social Selling, Crisis Communications, Messaging, and Positioning.
Jock’s mission is to close the gap between marketing and sales by driving measurable results through a strategy that drives brand awareness, wins customers, and positively impacts the bottom line.
He is a mentor at the German Accelerator Silicon Valley and launched a network security startup through a successful Kickstarter campaign. He is a regular speaker on communications topics, wrote a bestselling book on communications, and won numerous industry awards.
In his classes and hands-on workshops, Jock teaches marketing and communications strategies. He explains effective social media and social selling processes that drive business revenue or position thought leaders.
Jock is Vice President of Global MarCom & Brand at Arcserve, where he most recently managed the merger with StorageCraft. Before that, he oversaw corporate communications at TriNet and was responsible for communications during the company’s IPO. Prior, Jock led global marketing and communications programs for Dell SonicWall, Callidus Cloud, and agency clients at the Hoffman Agency, Edelman, and Havas PR.
Jock is an adjunct professor at San Jose State University and a lecturer at Berkeley Extension. He holds an M.A. in contemporary history, law, and political sciences from the University of Bochum/Germany and studied in Tours/France with a European Union scholarship. In his spare time, Jock enjoys international travel and competes in Triathlons.
