Vice President, Citi Community Relations

Patricia Vazquez Topete is currently part of Citi’s Community Relations, a unit of the Citi Community Investing and Development (CID) team. She is a relentless community advocate and has previously worked on policies advocating for workforce and economic resources for English language learners, immigrants, and farmworkers.

Prior to joining Citi, Patricia worked for the COVID-19 Vaccine Equity Task Force and held several positions in the Governor’s Office, including Grant Analyst in the Office of Business and Economic Development and Regional Program Manager for California Complete Count Census 2020. Patricia also worked at the Labor and Workforce Development Agency where she spearheaded a 2.5 million English Language Learner Workforce Navigator Project.

Prior to her role in State Government Patricia worked as a Diversity and Outreach Counselor supporting the enrollment and retention of Latino first generation students, through this role she also led some new outreach efforts that responded to the educational needs of students that came from farm working families in the Central Valley. Patricia has also worked on human rights policy in Latin America during her time with the Washington Office on Latin America.

Patricia received her bachelor’s degree in political science and minor in philosophy from Fresno Pacific University in 2015. In 2017 she was selected as an Executive Fellow with the Capital Fellows Program in Sacramento and in 2019 she became a Fellow with the Central Valley Latino Leadership Institute. She also holds a Certificate in Psychological First Aid for migrants, refugees, and displaced persons from the University of California, Berkeley.
