Richard has been teaching Finance courses at UC Berkeley Extension for 18 years and at UCLA Extension for 4 years. His prior financial career spans more than thirty years, beginning with an eleven-year stint on Wall Street and later moving to financial data companies, fintech startups, and a bank trust department.

He is the author of three finance books and is also the founder of BehavioralFinance.com. Richard holds a BS in Management Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York and an MBA in Finance from the State University of New York at Albany.
