Stephanie Martin Taylor is the Communications Director for the Episcopal Church in the Bay Area, an organization of churches, schools, and institutions formally known as the Episcopal Diocese of California. In addition to communications oversight, her roles include producing the annual diocesan convention at Grace Cathedral, heading the bishop’s Sustainability Core Team, and serving on the diocesan COVID-19 Response Team. Stephanie is also a certified coach who specializes in helping quiet women tap into their unique strengths and gifts.

Stephanie spent the first two decades of her career in broadcast journalism, most recently as a news anchor/reporter for San Francisco-based NPR and PBS station KQED. Over the course of her journalism career, she reported on a broad range of topics, including state and local politics, the Iraq War, and the California housing crisis.

Her numerous awards include two National Headliner awards and a national “Best of Radio” award from the Religion News Association. Stephanie holds an M.S. in Journalism from Columbia University and a B.A. in History and French from Colgate University. She and her husband, David, live in San Francisco.
